Visit Marrakech and climb to the summit of Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in Northern Africa, and experience panoramic 360-degree-views. Along the way, you'll see the village of Imlil, the Toubkal Massif and the shrine of Sidi Chamharouch.
Overview
Trekking begins in Imlil and heads south towards Jedel Toubkal. Trek the mountain ridges and valleys toward the mountain and overnight at Toubkal Refuge adjacent to the base camp. Please see the Accommodation information page about details of the Toubkal refuge.
On the second day it will be an early morning ascent to the summit where views of the Marrakech Plain and the High Atlas Mountains to the north, all the way to the Anti-Atlas Mountains and the Sahara Desert in the south.
From the peak, you’ll head back down the mountain then trek back to Imill. From there a return transfer back to Marrakesh for drop-off, where appropriate
Information
The tour will be a small group tour with between 1 to 15 customers.. The duration of the tour is 2 days.
Guests need to be at a physical fitness rating of fitness level 1 - Suitable for experienced hikers and outdoor enthusiasts. Long walking days, Uphill and downhill trekking, steep terrain, and significant elevation gain may is involved.
Guests are recommended to be adult or children 14 years or older and children must be accompanied by a parent.
Languages spoken by the local guide include English, French and Berber. Other language requirements may be accommodated with prior agreement, as part of the bookings process
