Itinerary
Tour begins in Imlil but includes the option of pick-up and drop-off from convenient locations in Marrakech.
Imlil is a 90 minute drive from Marrakech, in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. For those traveling from Marrakech there are stops in Tahannaout and Asni to see local markets, specialising in local wares and handicrafts. In Imlil, you will meet your local guide and commence trekking deeper into the mountains through berber villages and past mountain streams and waterfalls.
Trekking will be followed by a meal in a small hotel where you will experience a traditional meal prepared using traditional methods before return to Marrakech.
Information
The tour will be a small group tour with between 1 to 15 customers.. The duration of the tour is approximately 5-6 hours.
Guests need to be at a physical fitness rating of at least 3 (Suitable for reasonably fit guests with normal mobility who can manage gentle to moderate walking and outdoor activities). Uphill and downhill trekking is involved.
Guests are recommended to be adult or children 8 years or older and children must be accompanied by a parent.
Languages spoken by the local guide include English, French and Berber. Other language requirements may be accommodated with prior agreement, as part of the bookings process
